Lackey Street

(Shop Number shown in brackets)

Take the train to Summer Hill, walk down the off ramp and turn left. You emerge in yesteryear – in a time of the Village Square, friendly family owned businesses and a much more leisurely pace.

Dying for a coffee, duck into Express Train (No 2) where Judy will take care of you or if you make it to the end of the street Hesham at Plunge (No 46) will come to the rescue. For those who only make it about half way there are always Alphonso and Dustin at Café Strada (No 12).

If you are staying for dinner or lunch be tempted by the sumptuous seafood at Pier 26 Seafood Restaurant (No 26) where John Hassan is your host. Looking for the flavours of Italy and Europe, then talk to Joe at Da Vincis (No 25), Jason at La Candela (No 24) and/or Phil at Mancinis (No 29). The taste of Thai is also available from Marcellus at Thai Garn (No 14).

During summer there is live music most Saturday nights in the Village Square to enhance your dining experience.

Excellent take away is also available from Jessica’s Fish and Chip Shop (No 37) and the Village Gourmet Chicken and Carvery (No 22)

Lackey Street is a gold mine for fresh meat, fruit and vegetables. Summer Hill Village Quality Meats (No 38) attracts customers from far and wide and they are never disappointed by the choice cuts and meats available from Gus Ferriera and his friendly staff. Ask Tony at Summer Hill Village Fruit and Vegetables (No 30) about the thirty varieties of tomato he stocks and rediscover the meaning of ‘fresh’. For those bigger orders and added variety there is always Tom at Quarter Case Supermarket (No 52) who can help.

It also takes a very strong willed person to be able to walk out of Gus Rolon’s Summer Hill Patisserie empty handed.

Why not grab a gift for the kids at Monkey Puzzle Toy Store (No 2/13) where Pamela and Andrew always have something unique and interesting. For older friends and family be tempted by Tabitha at Urban Euphoria (No 6A) or simply see Lucy and say it with flowers from Lucy’s Florist (No 43).

Let Joanne pamper you at Absolutely Fabulous Skin Therapy (No 10) or Susan change the way you look at Hair Chair (No 2/4A). AND always look after a shopper’s most valuable means of transport at Clare’s Summer Hill Podiatry (No 5). Kevin Santos at the Centre Pharmacy (No 44) is standing by with a range of medicines and health products to ensure you keep your energy levels up and are firing on all cylinders.

Tucked away in Lackey Street is JAM Software (No 6) where Lorin is one of Sydney’s most respected IT and healthcare systems providers.

To discuss the best way to free up more of your hard earned cash for any of these goodies talk to Wassem or Archana at Accounting Taxation and Investment Corp P/L (No 1/41A).

With all this fabulous food to sample a regular check up at Total Dental (No 8) or Allan Jamal (No 5) is highly recommended.

AND if you fall in love with Summer Hill Village and want to be part of the story who better than Grayden King at Harris Tripp Real Estate to help you find that new business or residence.
